Movie Review: One of the better US Commercial Anime releases
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the first season of the TV show from Japan, and it introduces some key players that will stick around for a long time. I recommend that you watch and/or buy Slayers Vol. 1-4 before buying this box set. It makes it a whole lot easier to understand the series and it should be considered essential if you're going to continue watching this series.

The TV show has had a large success in Japan, and is one of the better titles to buy here in North America. Although it can't compete with "Akira", "Ghost in the Shell", the Macross series, and "Mononoke Hime" ("Princess Mononoke" in North America), it is definately one to consider if you like fantasy and/or comedy in anime.

The series gets even funnier and the plot lines have more action as the series progresses. I suggest buying this title for anyone who watches and/or collects anime as a hobby.
