VHS Movie Reviews of Slayers 5-8 [VHS]Movie Review: One of the better US Commercial Anime releases Summary: 4 StarsSlayers is about a 15 year old girl who travels around hunting thiefs and robbers. She uses her knowledge of black magic to help her do this. This is the first season of the TV show from Japan, and it introduces some key players that will stick around for a long time. I recommend that you watch and/or buy Slayers Vol. 1-4 before buying this box set. It makes it a whole lot easier to understand the series and it should be considered essential if you're going to continue watching this series. The TV show has had a large success in Japan, and is one of the better titles to buy here in North America. Although it can't compete with "Akira", "Ghost in the Shell", the Macross series, and "Mononoke Hime" ("Princess Mononoke" in North America), it is definately one to consider if you like fantasy and/or comedy in anime. The series gets even funnier and the plot lines have more action as the series progresses. I suggest buying this title for anyone who watches and/or collects anime as a hobby.
Movie Review: Many have laughed, many have cried. Summary: 5 StarsI laugh so hard i cry, and then sometimes i just cry. Who would have thought an Anime could pull you in so far that it can make you cry like a baby, or change your day from dark to light. This is the all around best series i have ever seen. And out of the 100+ animes i've watched, thats a hard spot to get.
Movie Review: Great Anime fun with a kick Summary: 4 StarsSlayers, either the series or the Epic movie, is a great way to spend the day away. Although not a visually revolutionary anime, nor is the plot deep and socially relevant, it is one of the most entertaining animes I have ever seen.
Movie Review: Dragon Slave! *hehe* Summary: 5 StarsLina's not a witch! *laf* I think this is the best series ever. My fave charicter is Zelgadiss, but I can nowt STAND Ameila for some reason. These are da best movies ever!! Get 'em while ya can!!
Movie Review: She's lethally Lovely. He's Gallantly vain. Summary: 5 StarsTogether there Slayers. This little witch and her galiently vain friend's adventure through beasties, baddies, and all around not good things. This japanese animation is fun for the whole family, but geared more twards adults. Lena Inverse (the witch) has powers unriveled even by the dark lord Shabernigdo. With friends they will search the world over for loot and booty. Witch enevitiably leads to mischif and fun.
