I remember watching this with my children and loving every minute of the movie. I don't know what made me laugh more the movie or hearing my children laugh at the movie. My children are grown now but they all remember watching Scavenger Hunt and wanted to see it again. It is sad that this wonderful classic family friendly movie is not available on dvd....soon please, very soon.Movie Review: I remember this movie from when I was a little kid!!!!

This movie is one of the first comedies I can remember seeing as a little kid. I remember my mom and dad laughing hysterically at it. We still to this day quote the movie. One of my favorites "For true ice cream lovers, there is only one flavor. Va-neee-la!" Man, you have GOT to see this movie! I want my husband to see it so bad. This movie was the Dumb and Dumber of its time! We need to let the kids and young adults of today experience it. Come on guys, Lets start a petition to get it on DVD. This is an exceptionally funny film that has always been way under-rated.
The acting and directing are good, and the comedic timing is excellent.
The plot, as in any good fast paced comedy, is simple. A wealthy old man decides to have a bit of fun and a bit of revenge on those
who hope to inherit his millions. The terms of the will state that there will be a scavenger hunt. No rules about how the items
are aquired, just get em by the deadline. Winner take all.
This situation could make a good comedy even with normal people/characters. But the characters in this movie are far from normal.
They are nutty to just insane to start with even before getting a sniff of the possible big bucks.
Most of them operate on the principle of "If you are dumb enough, you can do anything." And some of the gags are very original.
If you have never imagined (and what sane person would imagine it) a group of idiots stealing a toilet from a high class hotel,
grab some popcorn, sit back and let them show you exactly how it`s done.

Like many people that have reviewed Scavenger Hunt, I'll add that I've also been looking for this movie on DVD for almost a decade now. I just don't get why it hasn't been released on DVD. One of the funnier movies I've ever seen, admittedly a really stupid kind of humor. One kids and adults can both watch and would probably enjoy. I think I'll send an email to Fox Home Entertainment and ask if there are any plans to release this in the near future. If not, I'll let them know that there are others also interested in getting this gem on DVD.
