The soaring spire of Salisbury Cathedral, the tallest in England, is known the world over. This magnificent cathedral expresses perhaps more than any other the character of English Gothic. Our tour guides you through the Cathedral's history from its founder, St. Osmund, right up to the present day. It gives a fascinating insight into the Cathedral's treasures which include the oldest working clock in England, and much, much more. You are taken to parts of the Cathedral rarely seen by the public, even to the top of that lofty spire where you can see the original wheel once used by medieval stone masons to pull blocks of stone to the top.
