Movie Review: A great way to escape
Summary: 3 Stars

While I am more a fan of the earlier series with Michael Praed, I think Jason Connery did an excellent job stepping in to fill the void Michael left when he vacated the series. The writers' transition from one Robin to the next was imaginative and creative. I was a devoted follower of the original series (s), and have been more than pleased at being able to purchase the shows on DVD and vhs!!

I enjoyed this series when it was on PBS in the 80's and would love to have it on DVD. I've tried for years to find a copy of it. Now that I've found it, I'd like to be able to get the whole series on DVD for one price. Please Amazon, see what you can do! Yours is a great service.

I was a teen when this show came on in the US. I was hooked by the first episode I saw. Now, I'm (a bit) older and would like to be able to get the entire series on DVD. It's available on the UK version of Amazon, so why not here??? I'd get it from there but it's in PAL. So come on, hurry up and release an NTSC version of the series for the US on DVD!!!

Where is the rest of the series on Amazon??? And I mean on DVD! Though, to be fair, I'd only go for all the Michael Praed episodes, from the beginning. The last of those was sublime!

From every concivable point of view, this was an excellent production. It's the first time TV fight sceenes felt "right" to me. No -smack- -poof- -pow- feel to it. It felt like they were getting it on! The story-line was mystical, complex. You know how every character feels about every other, and the gammut is delicious.

The Sheriff and Gisbourne are memorable! As are Much, Tuck, Will, Nazir; and of course Robbin and Marian. The bishop, King John and King Richard are weighty characters by sheer writing genious! And using Clannad for ambience was a stroke of inspiration...

Anyone know if the series is available in Europe? If so, please lemme know : )
