I am a music teacher and I purchased this video to show to a homeschool co-op group. The kids were between 6 and 10 years of age and they loved the opera. I highly recommend this as terrific first opera to share with children. The story is in English and easy for them to follow. The total length of the video is 45 minutes so it holds their attention. I remember watching and loving this opera every year when I was a child. I was disappointed when the network stopped airing it. Now that Mr. Menotti has passed away, perhaps the news coverage will encourage the production of a good DVD version of this classic. Hope someone's listening!
