When I first saw the video of the Red Rocks concert I had never heard of John Tesh, except as the guy from "Entertainment Tonight". I fell in love with his music right then.
Some of it is on the treacly side (I really hate that Against All Odds song!), but most of it is rousing, and all of it is heartfelt. (It's another treat on the DVD to see fiddler Charlie Bisharat.) I just love it. Pure and simple genius. And unadulterated fun.

This is the best of the John Tesh instrumental albums; pop music with orchestral background; high energy with a number of first rate improvisational sounding solos on a variety of instruments - electric guitar, of course, but also sax, violin and piano.
