VHS Movie Reviews of Jingle All the Way [VHS]Movie Review: Jingle All the Way Summary: 5 StarsJingle All The Way is a movie for the whole family. It is good clean fun, and Sinbad is halirious!!
Movie Review: A Schwarzenegger Christmas Summary: 3 StarsI don't think Jingle All The Way should be called a classic, nor should it be called a dud. I think it's a very adequate Christmas movie. I hate parts of it, and I like parts of it. What I hate about it is Jake Lloyd and Sinbad. Lloyd is a terrible actor, and he proves it here (and further in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace). Sinbad is just acting as his usual self; his performance here isn't really that special. What I did like about this movie, however, is Schwarzenegger, Hartman, and Wilson: all three of them give good performances. It's especially really fun to see Schwarzenegger in a comedy (and that includes Twins and Kindergarten Cop). Sure, he may not be the best actor on Earth, but he can entertain just about everyone if the occasion calls for either action or comedy. Here, you can tell that he's had some fun during filming. Overall, this is just an OK movie, but you would definitely have to see it for Auh-nold doing some very good comedic work.
Grade: C
Movie Review: Our Family Favorite Summary: 5 StarsJingle All the Way is one of the funnest and funniest Christmas movies ever made. The actors are great (Phil Hartman, Sinbad, Jim Belushi, Robert Conrad, Arnold, Mrs Hanks, Martin Mull, and more) and the action is fast-paced. My favorite part is Belushi and the rip-off Santas. That scene is hysterical. We're not talking about poignancy on the level of "A Christmas Story", but this is a really fun movie. My kids are teens now and we never miss watching this one at Christmas time. (I'm not sure who Jim Gay is, but boy what a Grinch. Lighten up, bro!)
Movie Review: turbo time again Summary: 5 StarsBefore Arnold became gov of Ca he used to star in movies. This is a good one. The late Phil Hartman what a great comedian shines in this one. I bet Arnold wish he was still making movies instead of fighting the economy in ca.
Movie Review: It's Turbo Time! Summary: 5 StarsThe year 1996 was a very good year for the brothers Sid. It was pretty much right in the thick of the greatest times we speak of often packed with so many classic memories. Besides all that good stuff it was also the year Arnold decided to grace the Christmas movie genre with his bulky presence in Jingle all the way. It's almost the perfect way to bring in the holiday season next to a hilarious screening of Merry X-Miss with a tall cup of gingerbread coffee while Santa leaving the windows opened to freeze you out, it will be nice I think you will love it. Not to mention is has an extensive quantity of fantastic soundboard classics like "let me talk to your mother get your mother please," "who told you you could eat my cookies!," and "It's turbo time."
In Jingle All the Way (Good, now we are having fun edition) Arnold plays a somewhat distant father on a mission to give his kid a Turbo Man toy in hopes of winning his affection. Along to way he turns postal employee Sinbad into an arch enemy as they battle each other for the only Turbo Man toy left in town. Eventually he is accidentally dressed up as Turbo Man and thrown into the Christmas parade where he takes on Sinbad in the ultimate feats of strength. Really a hilarious corny Christmas comedy that features Mickey from Seinfeld dressed up as an elf. They must have liked his work from the episode where he also played an elf next to Communist Kramer Santa as he spread propaganda to all the eager children. So after plenty of laughs thanks to Arnie we will certainly recommend Jingle All the Way to spread plenty of Christmas joy. Ohhh Boy!
Summary of Jingle All the Way [VHS]A hilarious Christmas comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad star in this frivolous comedy about two fathers who are trying to locate and purchase the same hugely popular action toy on Christmas Eve. Schwarzenegger plays a busy father who makes lots of promises to his son that he can't keep, while Sinbad is a crazy postman just trying to make his boy happy. There are some truly comic moments in the film, such as the sight of Schwarzenegger being chased by a reindeer, and the obsequious efforts of a neighbor (Phil Hartman) to insinuate himself on Schwarzenegger's wife in the big man's continual absence. But for the most part, Jingle All the Way is a disposable, live-action cartoon. A DVD is available. --Tom Keogh
