Movie Review: Jazz reharmonization master
Summary: 5 Stars
The Jazz Piano Standards video by Andy LaVerne gave me significant insight into jazz reharmonization. Andy is a master at this and he explains it exceptionally well. I recommend this to even the most experienced jazz player. Some of the chord changes are a real stretch from the original harmonies, but what I found most helpful is the way he thinks about reharmonization. Andy studied with Bill Evans and it really shows...although I feel that Andy is brilliant in his own right. If you really are serious about studying alternate chords changes...get this video!
