Movie Review: Maybe for the Gifted Dancers Out There

I was not impressed with this video. Although it is well made the children found it much too difficult and gave up. I have played it for them several times, and they always begin with enthusiasm, but soon lose interest because the dances are much too hard for the little ones (ages 2-6) Maybe this would be a good video for older children, but "Chicken Fat" still gets my favorite children's exercise video review.Movie Review: Too fast

I am an elementary physical education teacher with a dance background. I have taught adult aerobic classes and have choreographed aerobic dances for children. This video is too fast for children. This video claims to be for ages 5 and up, but unless you have a much older child that has been taking dance lessons for years, don't waste your time or money. My 6 year old became dicouraged because it was extremely fast paced and the moves much too difficult to follow.
Summary of Hip Hop Animal Rock Workout
When we began to think about producing a new video for children, we had two goals in mind; one was to inform children about endangered animals in the world and the other was to do something that helped children learn and enjoy exercise. The idea for "Hip Hop Animal Rock Workout" made both of these goals possible. The video is hosted by Didi The Dodo Bird, a great animated character (dodo birds are extinct) who takes our live cast (and your kids) into the magical rain forest where they learn how to do various exercises based on the movements of many of our endangered animals - they are really lovable and the kids have a great time learning the animal tunes and movements. One of our favorites is the Elephant Glide. A very interesting thing about producing this video was that at the end of the production, most of our crew (including ourselves) lost weight working out with the kids! We are most proud of the quality of "Hip Hop Animal Rock" and have been rewarded with recognition by our own industry as well as from the fitness and television industries. Our crew was made up of many of the top names in television and film. We also consulted with and relied on experts from the fitness industry to ensure that 'Hip Hop Animal Rock" was not only safe for kids, but would also meet the requirements of a well-rounded fitness program. We know your children (and you) will enjoy it as much as we do. It's a great program for children 5 and up.Susan Zwerman, co-producer of "Hip Hop Animal Rock is also a member of the Directors Guild of America with over 50 major films, 100 television commercials, and 30 theatrical Broadway and Off-Broadway plays to her credit. She has also won a Grammy Award for 'Best Concept Music Video' for Weird Al Yankovic's "I'm Fat," which was a parody of Michael Jackson's video "I'm Bad." Sonny Flink, co-producer, writer and co-creator of "Hip Hop Animal Rock Workout" is a successful screenwriter, educator, and international motivational speaker.
