Movie Review: Great documentary showing a different side of Elvis.

I bought this video for my husband, who is an Elvis fan. I saw bits and pieces of it on PBS and thought it showed a very different side of Elvis that you don't normally see. I'm not a big Elvis fan myself but my husband loved it. He took it to his sister's house and his sisters and their husbands also loved it and wanted to know where I got it (Amazon.com of course!). So if you are an Elvis fan or know someone that is, buy this video. My only complaint is that vol 1 and vol 2 should be sold as a set.Movie Review: Deeply moving...

I was 11 yrs old when Elvis died and I have loved him ever since... this magnificent documentary (VOL.1 & 2) made me love him even more... it made me see what a religious man he was and how many people he touched over the years..they still miss him even 23 years after his death... it makes you understand why he has so many fans over the world and everyboy agrees that there's never going to be another artist like him... so if you love Elvis, you're going to love this beautiful tribute.Movie Review: A Spiritual experience

This may be the best documetary on Elvis yet produced, but I think it could have been made even better. When I looked at the videos I noticed that a lot of clips were taken from Aloha From Hawaii. A concert were he didn't do one single spiritual performance (?). And the never before seen footage of Elvis isn't much. But I rate them with 5 stars, because it shows Elvis, not as an angel or a saint, but with love, which he diserves. And the editing is just beautiful. HE TOUCHED ME, Volumes I & II (VHS Video) An excellent documentary giving insight into Elvis' spiritual life. This is in my opinion, the BEST documentary set I have EVER seen on Elvis. It is sensitively presented in a first-class production of his gospel, sacred and other inspirational-type music, interspersed with comments by members of his previous gospel back-up groups, such as the Jordanaires, Imperials and Stamps Quartet, along with some others who knew and worked with him. Despite the fact that nearly 23 years has lapsed (as of this writing-1/00) since Elvis Presley's passing, there is a surprising depth and emotion present in the voices and expressions of these friends and co-workers as they speak about Elvis and his relationship with Divinity. It is obvious that Elvis' adoration of God profoundly effected their own inner seeking of the Holy within. This two-part documentary does not explore Elvis' beliefs in the sacred esoteric mysteries of the Hebrew, Buddhic and Yogic traditions. It is mentioned only briefly, and explained as a scholastic curiosity on his part. If one looks with any depth upon Elvis' esoteric studies, it would become obvious that this pursuit for him was far beyond an intellectual excursion. However, the "He Touched Me" documentary was, after all, on Elvis' CHRISTIAN and GOSPEL roots and not on the full gamut of his eclectic spirituality, which was vast, rich and purposeful, pulling together all the strands of the sacred into one pulsing presence in his life. In presenting Elvis' ROOT spirituality, "He Touched Me" is a brilliant beginning in the revelation of Elvis as a spiritual entity and indeed, a "holy" man.Movie Review: Finally!
