Movie Review: Touched by the Warmth

I just watched this wonderful video with a friend during our lunch hour - I am feeling a peace that I was not expecting. Julie Harris, Richard Kiley, Hume Cronyn, James Earl Jones, and all of the other "players" have helped me renew my desire to grow old gracefully. The poetry, the photography, the spirit of the whole presentation is delightful beyond words. Though I felt teary at times, and very sad knowing that Richard Kiley has passed away since doing this video, I am going to purchase my own copy and share it with my friends and family. If you have any reluctance whatsoever to watch this, trust me - it is more than worth it.Movie Review: A work of Art

Despite what we've been told, aging can be joyful. Join Richard Kiley and Julie Harris as they explore the stage of life so nice they saved it for last in Grow Old Along with Me. This gentle montage visits poets, artists, actors, and others who've grown beyond their youths to find richer worlds waiting; we find that we have much to learn from those who've gone before. Whether we're hearing Robert Browning explain how the young are beautiful only so that we can tolerate them or Richard Kiley musing on the liberty to say "the hell with it," we find ourselves shaking off the dogma of our times that insists that aging is a fearsome process to be delayed and ignored for as long as possible.
