Movie Review: Russian Winter Holiday Cartoons
Summary: 4 Stars
After talking about movies, cartoons, and winter holiday nostalgia with my Russian girlfriend, I decided to search .... And so I found volumes 7 and 40 in the Soyuzmultfilm series. The cartoons in Volume 40 are somewhat dark in mood, which is not what I look for in Christmas nostalgia, although a dark mood has its place in other circumstances. The animation and production qualities are excellent and so the videos may be appreciated for that alone. If you're going to buy just one, go for Volume 7. Be warned that there are no subtitles, although with good cartoons it doesn't really matter.
