VHS Movie Reviews of All the Right Moves - Yoga, Pilates & Dance Conditioning [VHS]Movie Review: A great workout! Summary: 5 StarsA truly great workout. I have been doing Ashtanga yoga for quite some time now and I thought I was fit until I did this video. A real 5 star! Thank you Grace!
Movie Review: OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!!! Summary: 5 StarsI am so addicted to this workout, I actually have 2 so I'm going to sell one but I've been doing this workout for the past 2 years and it still hurts when I do it! I've never done a workout that toned me up as fast as this one does. The moves are original and they hurt. You haven't exercises until you've done this one!!
Movie Review: Fun and effective but not worth $65! Summary: 5 StarsI really don't know why these people on Amazon are selling this video for $65! You can buy it other places for $25. Check out the internet. I got mine on ebay for $10! This is a fun and effective workout that really does give results (if you do it consistently!) I REALLY felt it in the glutes and abs, which is great. It's hard though. You feel these small muscles you never knew you had. I'm not fond of the long, meaningless chit chat at the beginning of the video.
Movie Review: A great fusion workout Summary: 5 StarsI have had this tape for almost one year now and I really enjoy working out to it. It is a challenging blend of yoga, Pilates, dance conditioning (not dancing)and strength training with light hand weights. If you are looking for something different, this video is for you. If you enjoy fusion style workouts you will really appreciate this one. I am a personal trainer and a Pilates instructor, and I have sugggested to some of my clients who enjoy fusion style workouts to purchase this tape.
Movie Review: really feel the burn Summary: 5 StarsI have been "in and out" of shape since I was 13, playing various sports including basketball in high school and some in college. In a matter of 10 minutes, I was sweating. I had to pause the tape the first time through to wipe off my mat, my hands were sweating so badly I was slipping on the mat. If you do the moves correctly you will feel a difference. Sometimes Grace does not explain to you the exact positioning of your entire body, but after you've watched her a couple times, you can pretty much figure out how you should position your body. I didn't buy this tape until I was two-weeks into my work out routine (primarily pilates), so I was a little familiar with some of the moves and a bit prepared for the intensity, but even after doing the entire tape a couple times through, I am still having difficulty not needing to take a break during Grace's "one more" and not really one more amount of reps. I compare the intensity and feeling of this video to Billy Banks's Advanced Tae-bo video. However, unlike Tae-bo, this video contains much smaller movements and not as much moving side to side, etc. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I have completed the video. It's much easier the second time through, because you're more prepared for the change of exercises and positions. And it doesn't really make sense for me to say this about "exercise" but the tape is actually fun. I really love this video and can't wait to have Grace's body and flexibility!!
Summary of All the Right Moves - Yoga, Pilates & Dance Conditioning [VHS]This unusual 65-minute workout works and lengthens your muscles using yoga, Pilates, and dance conditioning. Trainer Grace Lazenby warms you up with yoga (impossible to view while you're doing it, so watch it first). She then alternates yoga with intense segments of ballet-like muscle conditioning (done barefoot) and Pilates mat work. In a standing lower-body segment you're supposed to use a body bar for balance (you can substitute a chair) and a seven-inch ball held between the knees, and another segment requires light dumbbells. You'll get more out of the difficult abdominal segments if you're already familiar with Pilates. One minor annoyance: the camera sometimes lags in showing the limb you're working. If you're bored by your exercise routine and have some familiarity with yoga and Pilates, this video will work your core muscles and increase your flexibility and muscle endurance. --Joan Price
